Morir Soñando

Inspired by the Dominican drink Morir Soñando, this poster/riso print captures the essence of its namesake. A bright yellow-orange figure, reminiscent of the fruit itself, lays still with orange slices, pillows and blankets scattered across the scene, almost like a crime scene. The surreal imagery of the figures head split open like an orange, releasing a cascade of milk, evokes a dreamlike state. Within the silhouette of the milk spells out the words “Morir Soñando”, reflecting the literal translation of “To die dreaming.” Through meticulous design and conceptualization, I sought to capture the essence of this evocative phrase using a surreal approach.
