Wash Day

In this poster design, I seamlessly integrated photography, typography and illustration in order to portray a moment on the ritual of Black hair care. The scene centers a man combing and maintaining his hair in front of the mirror, capturing the deeply personal nature and time it takes for this grooming process. Through my design choices I aimed to highlight the beauty and importance of Black hair culture.
